- Do I need to buy a management plan to get support?
No. All clients receive basic ticket-based support for essential issues like server access, hardware faults, or network downtime. Management plans are optional upgrades for users who want full hands-off server administration, security, and optimization.
- What’s the difference between self-managed and fully managed?
Self-managed means you’re responsible for setting up, securing, and maintaining your server. We still offer basic assistance if you face any core issues. Fully managed plans add expert support, security hardening, optimization, and proactive maintenance.
- Will my server still be secure without a management plan?
Yes, we ensure all hardware and network-level security is active. However, OS-level updates, firewall setups, and patching must be handled by you unless you opt into a management plan.
- Can I start with basic support and upgrade later?
Absolutely. You can start with our included basic support and upgrade to a management plan at any time, based on your needs or technical comfort.
- What happens if I’m not ready to add a management plan at checkout?
You can proceed without selecting a plan — and always add one later through the client portal in case you feel the need of having one. Service is activated once payment is confirmed and provisioning completes.
- Will updates or support issues cause my server to go offline?
We take care to apply patches and updates during off-peak hours, and never reboot your server without your approval. The goal is smooth, uninterrupted performance.
- What if support requests pile up — will there be delays?
Yes. Although we try to provide timely support, delays may occasionally occur if:
A large update or maintenance window is in progress
Multiple urgent incidents happen simultaneously
In such cases, we’ll notify you via ticket. Priority is still given to managed server clients, and we aim to resolve issues as soon as possible.
- Can I upgrade or downgrade between plans?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your management plan at any time in the client portal. Changes take effect immediately and carry over in your billing cycle.
- Is root access still available if I choose a managed plan?
Absolutely. Unless you explicitly request restricted access, you maintain full root or sudo control. We provide guidance and manage on your behalf only when needed.
